“Oh no! I’m freaking out!” My son kept screaming while we were relentlessly watching the Seattle vs. Packers game last night.
Yesterday’s game was so powerful…
I’m sure it had to be one one of the most improbable and miraculous comebacks in Football history! My excitement for the game may seem crazy to you, coming from a Mexican woman, but I’m very passionate about sports! And since I can remember, even as a baby in Mexico, I loved football the most!
I like to get inspired and learn from everything I do. I observe, I meditate, I learn.
I think there are lessons to be learned everywhere! Just from watching the game yesterday I felt inspired to work on my persistence and my courage. I learned to never give up and to always hope. And I reinvigorated my ideas of how important is to work as a team. I decided to call this learning experience: “The Power To Be Present.”
It’s crazy to think that you can win a game, sign a contract, or even save your relationship in only 5 minutes. Especially when you were failing for hours! But if you become present, you can regroup and establish a comeback plan.
Only when you wake up and decide you only have RIGHT NOW you can turn things around. When you are truly present; nothing can hurt you. Nothing can stop you. You can’t be afraid. Don’t think about the “mistakes” you made and forget all your “should haves”.
As Doug Baldwin, the Seahawks wide receiver, told an ESPN reporter last night: “You don’t need to believe, we are going to believe in ourselves”. Be present, believe in yourself, and you’ll achieve anything! (Even if you only have 5 minutes to do it.)
