Every day, social media connects businesses with companies and consumers that are interested with what they have to offer and provide marketers an interactive and fun way to reach out to the population. With the Latino community growing at a fast rate in the U.S., the use of social media in the Latino community is increasing at a great rate as well. There are approximately 18 million U.S. Latinos on Facebook. Providing a great marketing opportunity for any small Latino business to increase the number of consumers for their business.
Facebook pages are excellent places to gather together with companies, consumers, and followers. Having a Facebook page for your business gives you a way to talk to and get direct feedback from your target audience. You can build a community on your Facebook page in a number of ways by posting useful relevant and interesting links, asking followers to contribute with comments, and providing a place to leave reviews and feedback.
Here are a few tips to increase the success of your Facebook page:
1. Think and act like your consumer.
People fundamentally want to use media to relax, enjoy themselves, and connect with others that share the same interest. Connecting with your consumers is the key to getting their attention.
2. Invite
Invite companies and potential consumers to like your page.
3. Reasons to keep coming back
Give the people who “like” you a reason to keep coming back. Keep people updated on projects or share coverage of events with photos and captions.

Provide frequent posts or updates. Posting a new message on your company wall twice a week is a good practice.

Share the information on your page with other organizations and businesses that share your mission.

Offer special deals or contests through your page. Viewers of your page must be able to count on new information to make them want to visit your page.

This is especially helpful if your company is involved in a fundraising project or effort for a nonprofit organization.
